Hot Water Bath Amusements

Although I eschew a survivalist point of view, it’s inescapable that having a bit of food on one’s shelves at all times really is a good idea.  So much the better if it’s canned during peak freshness and lowest cost.  During the Son of Snowpacolypse I’m insanely glad to have roasted veggie sauce, peaches and raspberry jam on hand to spark up blizzardtime meals.

Would that my marmalade ever inspired such loyalty.  Must look into it.

A Philadelphia Magazine blub about the restaurant Village Whiskey.  The menu features a huge array of housemade pickles served up as bar snacks.  Man, I love a nice cocktail nibble.  Never thought of using pickles, though.  About to change!
